Sharron Szogi
Born in Greater Vancouver, Sharron spent much of her life living along the west coast of British Columbia Canada. At 14 she and her family moved to Cranbrook BC, a small city located in the East Kootenays of the Rocky Mountain Range. This is where she completed high school and where she made the decision to pursue interior decorating as a career. In 2021 Sharron moved to Ontario to attend Sheridan College and complete the Interior Decorating Program.
All of these places have had profound impacts on Sharron’s overall view when it comes to designing beautiful spaces. She hopes to convey the combined natural beauty of The West Coast, The Rocky Mountains, and historic Ontario to make one-of-a-kind interiors.
As a decorator with a passion for historical design, Sharron draws inspiration from the many design movements that have shaped our built environment over the centuries. Victorian design, characterized by ornate details, intricate patterns, and a sense of opulence, speaks to an era of grandeur and refinement. The sleek lines and geometric shapes of Art Deco evoke the glamour and modernity of the Roaring Twenties, while Art Nouveau embraces fluid forms inspired by nature, incorporating organic motifs and graceful curves. Colonial design, rooted in simplicity and functionality, reflects the practical elegance of early American settlers, with its emphasis on symmetry and classic proportions. Each of these styles carries its unique charm and narrative, influencing her approach to creating timeless and evocative designs that resonate with the past while remaining relevant in the present
